Recognised Jurisdiction Notice (No. 5)

The DFSA, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Article 55 of the Collective Investment Law 2010 and having satisfied itself in accordance with Article 55(2), hereby gives notice that:

The countries and territories listed in the left hand column of the table below are added to the list of Recognised Jurisdictions.
2. The Funds specified in the right hand column of the table below are Designated Funds.
3. The recognition and designation is subject to the restrictions and limitations stated below.

Effective date: This Recognised Jurisdiction Notice comes into effect on 25 February 2019 and remains in effect until further notice.

European Member States An Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) managed by an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) that is authorised by a Competent Authority in a Member State in accordance with the requirements of the AIFMD.

RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS

None

INTERPRETATION

(1) The provisions in this Notice are to be construed in accordance with GEN section 6.2 as if these provisions are provisions of the Rulebook.

(2) In this Notice, "AIFMD" means Directive 2011/61/EU of the European Parliament and of the European Council on Alternative Investment Fund Managers and the terms "Alternative Investment Fund", "Alternative Investment Fund Manager" and "Competent Authority" have the meanings given in that Directive.

(3) Other defined terms identified in this Notice by capitalisation of a word have the meaning given in the Glossary (GLO).
